Enter a silent cacophony; fragments of phrases written across light boxes are stacked inside the gallery like a cityscape full of words. Plucked from transcripts of Arno Schmidt's “Radio Dialogs”, a German broadcast series of imagined conversations between real authors, these text snippets are not audible, yet they engulf the viewer in conversations interrupted mid-stream. The glowing rejoinders (with instructions on delivery) force an internal radio to playback sounds of the spoken. "(Gravely): Marvelous. If only the eeriness were not creeping over me."
