Overview

Rebecca Camacho Presents is pleased to present Ray of Light, gallery artist Max Jansons’ third solo exhibition.

Rooted in the daily experience of living with a complex chronic medical condition, Jansons introduces a suite of intimate, ethereal oil on linen paintings illustrating the nexus of the spiritual and physical realms. At once an intensely personal yet universal dialogue, Jansons considers the beauty and ephemerality of the natural world through tangible details of memories and moments where he felt most at peace and hopeful. His signature luscious and tactile paint surfaces engage a lighter touch and tone here, resolving in buoyant atmospheres that transcend place and time.
